How would you feel if we had to collect and melt snow in order to conserve water? Would you be willing to do this? WHat would your main concerns be in doing this?
I would do ALMOST whatever it takes to save water and lives. My main concern would be if there were any diseases in the snow. Another would be if the people would drink snow water, how much snow there will be, and how well the overall plan will work
i would do about anything i could to help.yes i would melt snow to survive, my main cosern are that this might be a hard thing to do to the fact that what we melt could make us ill.but this might be cool to experence just to know what some people have to go threw.
i would so do this because people need water to live, my main concern would be how long the snow would last and would it be enough to last for millions of people
I would do anything to get the water i need. The number one thing I would be afraid of would be that not everyone was getting the water they need to stay alive and people would be getting de-hydrated ):
-Sarah Savard I would think it would cool and not so cool i think that it would be cool because we get to get out of school and play all day and not so cool is because we will have to shovel our drive way every day
I would feel kinda upset. Not only because we don't have enough water to collect for people, but for the United States. If we had to do that... Everyone would turn and do ANYTHING they could for water. It's just sad they have to.
i would collect snow if i had to if there wwas possible nothing else to drink. i would have no proublem doing so. but i would bee a little concerned of want is in the snow and if i do get enouph water to drink
I think it is a great idea, but at the same time I'd be kind of sad/scared that we were that desperate for water because obviously thats not good. I would be willing to do this though because if it helped us gain water I'd be more than happy to. As Courtney said there are always dieseases and stuff to worry about and if there is going to be enough snow this winter. There are lots of things to take into consideration, but overall it seems like a good idea.
I would definitly melt the snow to save water because everyone needs water and if people can't have water....well we know what happens. My concern would be what if the snow wasn't good to melt and drink, what if it held bacteria or other kinds of things that would make people sick?
@Mackenzie Yeah I agree that would be sad if we had to work so hard just to get the water we need. I hope something like that never happens to us. I'd be so worried.
I feel pretty worried if we had to start to conserve water for ourselves. I would be willing to do it though. my two main concerns in doing this though would be what if the amount of water we conserve isnt enough and is there anything that could harm us in the water.
It wouls be very good if we collected snow to conserve water. I would be very willing to do this. My main concern would be what if some snow is dirty and it looks clean that would be gross.
I absolutly help I would do anything it took to get water and help save lives. my concerns are that what if it does not snow enough? What will it be like then?
i would definatly collect melted snow to make more water, a concern is knowing thhat they didnt have a lot of water to the point were we have to collect melted snow and they might get dehydrated:(
@sarah oh yea i love snow and dont at the same time, when read the artical i dont know it did but it reminded me of the time my little cousin ate snow off the ground, but it wasthe snow that my old dog peed on,then she apit it out because she thought it was from a yellow snow cone, i hope they dont do that in bejing
@ courtney mauricio i would also be afraid that there might be diseases in the snow because that would make them even more sicker than being dehydrated..
i would do it, obviously. It would help a lot of people. There might be some concerns about how clean the snow is and where it's been on the ground... but if there was a water shortage in Cincinnati this is what we should do. But the equipment to melt the snow might cost too much money.
The water shortage wouldn't kill people, would it? I mean come on there's bottled water that are imported from other cities. It's just that it's probsbly expensive to but and ship an enormous amount of water to beijing.
i would so do this because people need water to live my main concern would be how much it would snow during that year and how long it would last and would it be enough to last for millions of people
Alana Gulley I would do whatever it takes to get water because nobody i know can live without water and i think the collecting the snow thing is a really good idea! (:
i feel sso sorry for the people l drink out of living there.I think it is gross out of the faucet.i now amigine how much they are putting aside just to melt snow for water to drink.maybe we could do a food drive for them like have every kid bring in a half or a full gallon of water! I BET IF WE DID HAVE THAT THEY WOULD BE VERY THANKFUL FOR ALL of us!lyndsey roberto
i would do mostly anything to get the water i needed or family and friends.my most worried question would be is there any bacteria in the snow that could get me sick. would there be enough snow for everyone or very little. i would hope everyone ggot something. --Sydney POlking--
I would most likey melt the snow for water because you need water to live and if there is no water we will die. My main concerns would be how do they know if the snow is safe to drink or what could happen if it is not and you drank it??
I don't know what I would do, I would probably conserve as much as I can. I would do a lot for water, encluding collecting and melting snow for water. I would be concerned about my family and myself with that water problem.
I would do eney thing to save water and lives.my main concern is about beijing water lines.i hope that beijing people will be fine and i hope that the people will do fine collecting snow for water in bijing.the people of bijing need stuf that we in ohio dont need so dont be greaty with money and give to bijing.we shoud give to the people of bijing.
if we had to collect the snow i would feel worried that the snow would not filter correctly, and i would drink dirty gross discusting water. I would be willing to do this so that we would have a good amount of water and so that we stay hydrated and have somthing to bathe in. My main concerns are that i may accidently drink dirty water. Also that i would get sickj. and that the price for water will probubly go up and be more expensive.
ANDREW reis I would feel happy because i would be helping my country. yes i would be willing to do this because it sounds fun. my main concerns would be to not go thersty and die of thirsty.
@ Tyler Yeah I kind of had an idea to that china had snow but I really thought china didnt get any snow I just thought they just got a lot I mean of rain.
I would be a little embarassed that my country has to look a little weak because we have to resort to taking water from snow. But everyone needs water so I would be 100% willing to do it. My main concerns would be te germs in the snow. They'ed better clean it.
I don't think there is diseases in snow. I think there are germs that cause diseases in snow. THe plan is okay I guess but will it be enoogh to last China until the next rain or storm?
I would feel fine if we had to. As long as it was purified I would be fine. If not, I would just boil the water. My main concern would be what would we do if it stopped snowing and all the snow melted? I would be willing to do this.
If we had to collect and melt snow in order to conserve water I would definitely help, because water is something we all really need, but I would be upset that we are in a water shortage. I would be concerned that the snow is not as clean and healthy, it may carry diseases that could get people sick instead of helping them.
@Alyssa Yeah I didn't really think about the price. You're right, most likely it would go up. Things like bottled water and water heaters are already expensive enough. Imagine paying a lot for melted snow that could be dirty and gross?
If we had to collect and melt snow in order to conserve water I would feel awkward but glade that I would have something to drink. But I would you be willing to do this. My main concerns be in doing this would be the fact that not all the snow is good and clean. It could make you sick.
that would be kind of cool. i would be willing to do this. it could be a little dangerous because of the chemicals in the snow and there is going to be a lot of snow

@ Courtney. I agree I would also be concerned if their was any diseases in the snow and how clean and safe that actually is.
I would feel kinda upset. Not only because we don't have enough water to collect for people, but for the United States. If we had to do that... Everyone would turn and do ANYTHING they could for water. It's just sad they have to.

@courtney thats really good you would do that and about your concern ya and how would we even no if it was white and it looked like all the other snow
i would definatly collect melted snow to make more water, a concern is knowing thhat they didnt have a lot of water to the point were we have to collect melted snow and they might get dehydrated:(

I would melt the snow but id be concerned about illnesses in the snow.that would be really bad if there was and hopefuly there isnt i hope it works.
Its sad that they dont have a lot of water. But they could always get some more water they will just have to work a little harder and work faster.

I agree with you Andrew. what could you do??
--Sydney Polking--
i THOUGHT THAT WAS A GREAT IDEA SINCE THEY ALWAYS HAVE SNOW IN THE WINTER.
@Tyler thats a good question how much snow would it take.
I don't know what I would do, I would probably conserve as much as I can. I would do a lot for water, encluding collecting and melting snow for water. I would be concerned about my family and myself with that water problem.
i would not like to collectmelting snow because it doesnt taste good. i think it would be dangerous to do this.

fine it would seem to be easy. yes .will there be enough snow to collect
they had the summer olympics there.
I think that is a good idea to do that but why have they had the water shortage of water.
@ Tyler
Yeah I kind of had an idea to that china had snow but I really thought china didnt get any snow I just thought they just got a lot I mean of rain.
i think this plan will work it should thos chineas need water i mean if we have water so should they.
i wold just eat snow. it is just frozan water! i only think they should use it for bathing!!! = )
I would be a little embarassed that my country has to look a little weak because we have to resort to taking water from snow. But everyone needs water so I would be 100% willing to do it. My main concerns would be te germs in the snow. They'ed better clean it.
