I think its when rocks start to crumble into smaller rocks. But erosion mainly happens when mountians start to where away and then ende up being crumbles and sand.
I know that mountains are formed and the bits of the rocks and minerals are like a fertilizer for the ground and the masses of dirt and rock are moved to another form and place.
erosion is the process of which formms are broken down into smaller, new ones. Deposition is almost the opposite, whereas erosion breaks things down, and deposition deposits them in a single sPOT. WHETHER THAT BE THE MOUTH OF A RIVER, THE LEE OF A FORM, OR SOME WARM SPOT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE tUNDRA.
@jenifer peters i also know that hills are made of the erosion of mountains. i think pretty much everything that can be broken off and made into smaller peices is pretty much erosion.(:
i think erosion is as simple as a big thing (mountain) is warn away into a smaller thing(a hill, a rock, or even sand!) by natural causes like rain, waves crashing into a mountain, or a rock in the sand.
Erosion and deposition create sand, hills, and soil. It also creates things like wetlands and canyons. It does this by breaking down rocks and mountains and other such things and depositing them into different places.
Alana Gulley i really dont know anything about erosion and deposition but i would love to learn more about it and do some fun activities in class to help me learn more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (: (: (: (: (: (:
erosion is when big things get turned into smaller things. for example when a mountain gets a rock taken out of it, that is erosion. when a rock gets broken into smaller pebbles, or sand, that is also erosion.
Well im preety sure that when boulders get eroded that turns into rocks and when that hasppens to rocks peeples and evantually sand i think?? ---Sydney Polking
i think erosion is the grinding of objects crumbling!i wonder if these objects can reconnect and create more objects?tell me if you find more info about it?lyndsey roberto!:)<3 science rules!
I think erosion is the breaking down of rocks. Erosion creates more rocks and soil. Erosion also creates holes and worn down rocks. that is what i think erosion is.
@ alana gulley i think we learned about this in 4th grade!i am suprised i remembered!i cant wait to learn more about this i hope will we start asap!lyndsey roberto!:)<3 science!
erosion creates things like the grand canyon and other natural wonders. It is the breaking down of rocks and land. I have a example of this near my house, in the woods there is a creek and water is constantly running over rock and the creek year after year the creek deeppens
sam keethler-erosion means something rising or floating and deposition means the oposite of flowting put it togethur and you have gravatey or no gravaty.
-KYLIE GILL I thinks that erosion is when there is a mountin that is breaking into samller rocks. I think that deposition is when gas is transforms into soilds gas.
I know that the Grand Canyon was caused by erosion/deposition. But it took a very, very long time beacuase even eroted a small thibng takes awhile, so imagine eroting something as large as the Grand Canyon.
i know erosion is breaking thing down. it is the breakdown of continents and the things around you i do not know what deposition is i hope we cover it more in class:)
thats what i think erosion is too but how do holes get in rock. i know it actually happens but how does it get so eroded in one spot? if you know please tell me!!!:)
I think its means now that when like a mountain is breaking apart in breaks into small parts such as rocks and pebbles or its translates into another form.
When a mountain is begining to break apart it is when the rocks start to form into small rocks and it just keeps adding and taking away parts from the mountain.. like when soil and rocks form and change into other smaller or larger rocks.
Erosion is the process in which one force starts to wear away at a large object. Example.. You-force- take a rock from a mountain-large object- and throw it against the ground-wearing away at the mountain-. You helping with eroding that mountain! Deposition sounds so familiar, yet I have no idea what it is.
Erosion: THe process of breaking down rocks into smaller things. It creates hills, sand and soil. It also creates canyons like the Grand Canyon.
Depostion: Depostion creates wetlands and marshes. Its the proccess of moving things made by erosion (Soil etc) To to other places by using a body of water.
@Natalie Wow I never though of it that way, why Ohio has so many hills. It could have been very mountainious a few billion-million?- years ago. That is cool when you think about it. Or at least it is to me.
@Dupont, Noah I believe depostion is when the things left over from erosion is carried to another place by a body of water or something and builds up in one place. Like when soil builds up at the bank (or delta I think) of a river. I hope I'm right.
josh parsons- Erosion and deposition is the process of objects like rocks being weathered away by things like rain. mountains are weathered into rocks and rocks into sand.It is as symple as breaking a rock and the ground.
Erosion is the process of breaking things down. I think deposition is when eroded material gets deposited somewhere else but Im not positive. Erosion and and deposition create sand, wetlands, canyons, and more.

i think erosion is when rocks begin to crumble into littler rocks.
@Rembold,Abby
It's sorta like that, it's mainly when mountains break into small rocks and pebbles, or move into another form.
I think erosion is when soil and rocks change into smaller rocks like breaking it down
erosion is when something is breaking down into smaller bits and erosion can cause small wetlands at the mouths of rivers.
I know that hills are created by mountains being eroded and rocks are made by boulders being eroded. Many things are made by erosions.
i think erosition is the wethering of rocks
I think that erosion is when a rock is being broken into smaller pieces by another force.

i think Deposition is a process in which gas transforms into solid.
erosion is the weathering of rocks and sediments
i still dont know what deposition is

i think pretty much everything that can be broken off and made into smaller peices is pretty much erosion.(:
I think that erosion is just breaking things down.Like when mountains little peices fall of and now they are rocks justy breaking them down!
i think erosion is as simple as a big thing (mountain) is warn away into a smaller thing(a hill, a rock, or even sand!) by natural causes like rain, waves crashing into a mountain, or a rock in the sand.
erosion and depositon also create wetlands and canyons

wh at does deposition is because i don't know what it is at all
Sarah Savard
@ kresser,
is weathering the process or the action. i think its the action.
well i think erosion from what i learned is breaking things down like mountin peaces fall then turn into peaces of rocks.
when sediment breaks down into small particals like sand from weathering
andrew mccarthy above
@ mackenzie young
i knew that it was something like that, but i was tyring to remeber from 4th grade.
@Bonnie
Oh so deposition is just like erosion? I'm not necesarilly sure what deposition means:)
I think erosion is when something is breaking down into smaller bits.

i really dont know anything about erosion and deposition but i would love to learn more about it and do some fun activities in class to help me learn more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (: (: (: (: (: (:
Erosion is the process when formms broken down into smaller, new ones. Deposition is kind of the opposite.
Erosion and deposition cause the process of breaking things down.
by erosion smaller rocks are made because of the wearing down of larger rocks.
erosion is when big things get turned into smaller things. for example when a mountain gets a rock taken out of it, that is erosion. when a rock gets broken into smaller pebbles, or sand, that is also erosion.
i think that erosion is when mountains are put in to little tiny rocks or into another form
erusion is smaller rocks made by larger rocks
Boulders can turn into rocks as well as mountians into hills. This is all done by erosion
Well im preety sure that when boulders get eroded that turns into rocks and when that hasppens to rocks peeples and evantually sand i think??

i think erosion is when bigger rocks begin to break down into smaller rocks and are moved into another place and another form
erosion is the process of rocks breaking down.
@alana gulley
yeah i wanna learn more too because like this rock stuff is awesome i love erosion i hope we do some labs but less notes
i think erosion is the grinding of objects crumbling!i wonder if these objects can reconnect and create more objects?tell me if you find more info about it?lyndsey roberto!:)<3 science rules!

@ T Chase
Ohh my gosh i know erosion is amazing!!!! I Love erosion!!!! <#\
erosion creates new stuff when it breaks doown and wares away the old stuff
@alana gulley
like i know omg erosion is like one of the best thing in the world cuz its amazing yeahh :D!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
it all creates soil or as abby said littler rocks.
Alana Gulley
i know
yeah i know right erosion is awesome im glad to know that we both agree that erosion is like super duper awesome
Erosion is when a rock breaks down into smaller rocks and becomes sand or gets taken to a new place
Alana Gulley
But deposition is like out there and i dont think anybody knows about it
depositon is so uncool but we have to learn about it because its an important part f our learning system
@lamping Ally
I never knew that mountains were made by smaller rocks I guess I should have read more carfully
@courtney m
i think the same thing erosion is about how rocks crumble and form new things and mountains become hills. isnt that cool!!
Alana Gulley
@ T Chase
uhm i actually do want to learn about deposition because i dont know anything about it and it actually sounds interesting kinda
@ alana gulley i think we learned about this in 4th grade!i am suprised i remembered!i cant wait to learn more about this i hope will we start asap!lyndsey roberto!:)<3 science!
yeah i guess so erosion is like way cooler though
Erosion and deposition make rich soil and little rocks.
jenn peters! i think it is cool that ersion can make sand i would love to see that happen over time if i could!lyndsey roberto!:)<3 science
erosion creates things like the grand canyon and other natural wonders. It is the breaking down of rocks and land. I have a example of this near my house, in the woods there is a creek and water is constantly running over rock and the creek year after year the creek deeppens

it is when a rock crmbles into something else or smaller it can be caused in a chemical way and mechanical way. Allison Johnson
A lot of things are created by erosion. Hills, wetlands, sand and more.

I thinks that erosion is when there is a mountin that is breaking into samller rocks. I think that deposition is when gas is transforms into soilds gas.
i think erosion is when rocks soil dirt gets all meassed up like with wind and thundes sorms stuff like that.
Hills can be created out of mountains and the same goes for larger rocks, that eventually can break down into sand.
_Sara Voigt
I think Erosion is when rocks break down into pebles.
I know that the Grand Canyon was caused by erosion/deposition. But it took a very, very long time beacuase even eroted a small thibng takes awhile, so imagine eroting something as large as the Grand Canyon.
sand, small rocks, horizon
erosion is the process of breaking things down.deposition brings the small broken down particles to 1 place and builds them up
@ Jennifer Peters
Yeah, I guess one time Ohio was very mountainous and that is why we have so many hills in our area.
I think it is a big rock that forms into a little rock.
monni szary
i think that the erosions of the rocks like the like they are getting smaller
It is mostly about when mountains break into small rocks and pebbles.
i know erosion is breaking thing down. it is the breakdown of continents and the things around you
i do not know what deposition is i hope we cover it more in class:)
@ Br!@nN@
what do you think deposition is
@ sydney vest
thats what i think erosion is too but how do holes get in rock. i know it actually happens but how does it get so eroded in one spot? if you know please tell me!!!:)
@ walter
I do not understand your coment.
"sand, small rocks, horizen."
what does that mean
@ natelie
actually i believe it is because icbergs came through and eroded the ground forming hills. i will get more info on that for you.:)
I think erosion is like the process of a rock breaking into smaller bits or pieces.
i think erosion is when rocks break down and become smaller and more smoother.
@schirmer
i didnt know that it cause wet lands.thats really cool. but wouldnt it cause wetlands everywhere because erosion is everywhere.
Erosion and deposition cause rocks and parts of the earth to break down,
I think its means now that when like a mountain is breaking apart in breaks into small parts such as rocks and pebbles or its translates into another form.
When a mountain is begining to break apart it is when the rocks start to form into small rocks and it just keeps adding and taking away parts from the mountain.. like when soil and rocks form and change into other smaller or larger rocks.

erosio isbthe breaking down of rocks and I dont know what deposition.
@ DeeAnna.
i also think that canyons and wetlands are mostly attached by erosionn,(:
erosin is when rocks get smaller due to meany casas.
re abby r, not to be gramer police, but it is smaller.

I know that erosin and deposition create wetlands. erosion is also rocks broken down into small peaces.
@ emily
thats what I think so to that erosion breaks things down into smaller peaces and new peaces
erosion is the proces of breaking things down on a mountain it happens by weather
@Dupont, Noah
I believe depostion is when the things left over from erosion is carried to another place by a body of water or something and builds up in one place. Like when soil builds up at the bank (or delta I think) of a river. I hope I'm right.
erosion is big rocks breaking down into smaller bits of rocks.also it will cause wetlands at the mouth of the river.
Anthony,Erb
erosion is the breaking down of big rocks to littler rocks.
@ abby
when I think of erosion I think of rocks breaking down to small peaces
josh parsons- Erosion and deposition is the process of objects like rocks being weathered away by things like rain. mountains are weathered into rocks and rocks into sand.It is as symple as breaking a rock and the ground.
@Luke
Thank-you! I was a little unsure about what depostion was unitl I read your comment. Now I know that what I thought depostion was is right. Thanks. :)
Erosion is the process of breaking things down.
I think deposition is when eroded material gets deposited somewhere else but Im not positive.
Erosion and and deposition create sand, wetlands, canyons, and more.
Erosion/deposition creates sand and other smaller rocks.
I know that hills, sand and pebbles are created by erosion , and silt is deposited on the side of rivers and roads by deposition.
