I believe that i would be scared of a volcano erupting but if i was on hill i think i would be safe.

It depended on what kinds of eruptions happened. if it was usally just a really minor eruption i dont think i would care. but if it had more violent eruptions i may be frightened. it would be cool to live near one to see emissions and minor eruptions.

I would not like to like near an active volcano. My home can be destroyed or something else might happen. I wouldn't like to live near one at all.

I do not agree with you. I wouldn't like to live near ANY type of volcano. It said in the article that in 1995 Mt. Etna got more explosive erruptions when it was wasn't very explosive before.

I dont think it would be that bad but the worst part would be caught up in the traffic when all the people are trying to leave to get away from the soon to be eruption. But also volcanologists might not be able to monitor the coming eruption quickly enough....

I agree it would take either ALOT of guts/courage to live near a volcano.
this is above the city of atania and of the island Sicily. The type of volcano eruption is created by a type of basalt. It is the highest and most active volcano. i think it would be terriable to live by a volcano. you would never know when it would erupt i know the scientist would but there is always a chance that it could be wrong! so i would not want to live by a volcano.
