i did not realize there were that many earthquakes thats tons ! my thoughts are how coukd that many happen? i mean earthquakes would end up running into eachother then making a bigger earthquake !@
Wow they happen a lot more often then I thought. I can't believe all these earthquakes happen so many times, but I guess they do considering we have records. I think that this is kind of weird, but interesting at the same time. How come we don't have this many that we can feel at least a little bit?

i knew that there were alot of earthquakes each day, all it is mainly is the shifting of earths plates due to the moveing of the magma below the earths crust, it occurs all day everyday in small proportions, some no one even notices.

really wow? I am very sorry for the people that go through very harmfull earthquakes.When i heard about the earthquakes i felt even more bad when i heard there was one in indiana cause that is are neighborin state and many of my family members live out there!lyndsey roberto!

No i actually never really realized. I actually think that it must be hard for people that are in other countries and states because the earthquakes are actually someimes very much worse in other places and like where we live their not really that big. But in California their are so many of them and they are really big terrible ones.
I scrolled down just to see how many, and I was surprised! I won't count, but there are ALOT of them! Most are clustered when they're in the same place, such as Vanuatu. Just think about it, living in that place, having ALOT of earthquakes you would needed many things bolted down!
I didn't think that many earthquakes happened. But I remember last year Mr. Harvey had a gadget that showed where earthquakes hit within the past 24 hours and I remember I didn't expect any to be on there but there were some.

I thought that earthquakes only happen in more like eruope and asia; i was right. i hope that there is not goi9ng to be an earthquake anytime soon here in the US! i also ask myself how does a earthquake really start? i have to get to the bottom of this!

omg wow thats alot of volcanoes erupting, i didnt know that many even can erupt in such a small period of time, i kinda wonder what it does to the earth.
@ RED, dude, its BAHA not BAJA. But thats pretty wierd. i guess if the plates were moving 24/7, they would collide one time or another, but 7-8 times in one day (Iran) thats crazy!

well i figured that it would be alot but the way i hear it in the questions it sounds more than i expected

it is intersting because only ones that are above 6.0 and have caused major damage end up on air.

i actually new that alot of earthquakes but not that many i had no clue mexico gaot that many. i did know that california had alot though.

The magnitude for JAN MAYEN ISLAND REGION is strong it's 6.1. The magnitude for is strong too it's 6.0. They have earthquakes that are worse.
