Apollo-era astronauts left a seismic experiment on the moon. New analysis of that 30-year-old data may give new insights into the lunar core. What can this seismic data tell us about the moon today and in the past? What else you like to learn about the moon if you were sent on a mission to the moon?

The seismic data was designed to detect vibrations and tilting of the lunar surface and measure changes in gravity at the instrument location today and in the past. I would want to really know if the Neil Armstrong foot print is really still there. I would also want to learn can you take a piece of the moon and take it back to earth still it's shape? Am I the only one that wants to know that!!
the sesmic data was made to find vibrations and detect the tilting of the lunar surface and gravity. it can tell us what the mesurments were like today and in the past. if i went to the moon i would want to learn more about how space would effect me.
this seismic data tell us what the core of the moon is like, it can be like our core or like the moons outer core.
this seismic experimentwas made for deecting vibrations and tilting of the lunar surface
@ Sanzere, Anna
i wonder that too, that would be cool if it was
seismic data was desighned to detect viborations and tilting of a lunar surface and the changes of measure have changed in gravity i would want to know if a flag would actullay be still and not move
well i guess it could tell us about the mesurments threw the years of earther wearing away or adding.

I would like to learn about how big the moon really is, compared to how it looks in a Full Moon on earth.
The seismic data tell us that the lunar core of the moon could be a lot like the core of Earth. I would like to see the if there really are moon quakes on the moon.
@Anna Sanzere
No, your not the only one that wonders that. I wonder that too, now that you mention it!
The seismic data is what the astronauts found about the moon core which turns out to be very similar to the earths core.

i would want to know about and see all the flags up there from all the people from different countries.
@ Anna:
I think it would be cool if you could take a piece of the moon back to earth, that would be really cool if you could.
The seismic data was made to find the tilting of the lunar surface and measure changes in gravity and vibrations. I want to know how big the moon really is compared to the earth because in movies they look like there giant on the moon like really is it that size
@ Anna (:
No your not the only one that would be awsome to be able to take sand from the moon and back to earth! Also i wonder too if Neil Armstrong's foot print is still their too! C:
@anna
now that u said it i am wondering if it is because that would be totaly awsome
The Seismic data was designed to detect vibrations and detect the tilting of the lunar surface and gravity. and it shows that the moons core and Earths core could be the saame.

@ kresser
since thats true the flag does not move on the moon it would be cool if that could happen on the earth.
@anna sanzere
you are not the only one that wants to know that! i have never thought about it but i would like to take a peice of the moon to earth C:
This data tells us that the moon may have a core much like the core of earth with a solid inner core and molten layer. I would want to discover something else-anything else the world doesn't know or isn't sure about yet!
the seismic data was designed to measure and/or detect "moonquakes".
I would like to know if the outer crust is even stable.

@anna
that would be really cool to see!
@ krasser.
i wood like to know that too. i mean, we know that there is no lunar wind, but what if there was a moonquake?

seismic data is here to find vibrations of tilting of the lunar surface and measure how it changes in gravity at the instroment location today and in the past,what if there is still somthing left behind from the apollo expiditions
THis can tell us that the moon may work like the earth. I would want to learn more about this and also be able to prove it.
The seismic data was designed to detect vibrations and tilting of the lunar surface and measure the changes in past. i was woundering if peoples foot prints are still there today. i was also woundering has anyone ever taken a pice of the moon or rock from the moon back to earth?
seismic data tells about the movement of the ground on the moon. i would like to know how long an air tank would hold and how deep some craters are.
@ Sanzere,Anna
Why wouldn't it stil be in its original shape?
@ anna sanzere
i was woundering the same thing. i wounder if anyone has or if it would still be the same?
@ Mackenzie Young
In think that your right about in who things can change.
the earthquakes are from the moon just doing it thing. The siesmic data collector thing robot is telling scientist about the vibrations and also the tilt of the lunar surface.

it was made for detecting vibrtions on its surcafe. i want to see if children could go into space someday and play beyblade in zero gs
@kelsey
me too, thats one of the things I find most interesting about the moon - the lack of gravity. also I want to know what the earth looks like from the moon!
@bekah
Yes they have taken rocks off of the moon, they used them as samples to test what they were, the same rocks can be found on earth. At Space Camp in the museum they had a moon rock, I just don't find it all that interesting or impressive.
