Mississippi River

And we thought we had it bad ....With all of the rain we have experienced within the past month we saw a lot of areas running into problems with flooding and landslides.
Check out the following links on what is happening in Memphis, TN.  What would you do if you were in this situation?

I would probably start getting scared that we won't be able to go back to normal. I would also probably not know what to do next, and I wouldn't ever be able to get over the flood.

I would definitely be a tad bit frightened, but i would clear out of the river valley. If I lived in NO, i wouldve gotten out there after hurricane katrina. I mean, theyre BELOW sea level.

I honestly wouldnt know what to do, it would be so scary, you know with the risk of injuries and drowning. I just couldnt even imagine what they must have been going through

Peters,Jennifer said...

I would most likely be freaking out if the water levels were that high here. I would be wondering what we would do considering everything is probably saturated and even f the water was going away everything would still be wet for awhile after that. It would be a devastating occrance and it would stay with me forever.

It really depends on if it rains again. If it affected your house I would move because there might be more rain and it could badly damage your house or just take some things and go to a friends house for a few days. If its not affecting you always be ready for it.

Peters,Jennifer said...

@Samantha
I would be thinking about that too. Definitely the drownign part, little kids could easily be interested in the water and go near it. All it takes is one wet stone and they slip...and if they can't swim...that would be bad. Scary!

Luke said...

@ Sam Savard,
I dont know, if there was a risk of injuries/drowning, i would clear out. I mean, there are a lot of states under fire of mother nature. Mississippi-tornadoes, New York-blizzards (at least in the winter) California-mudslides, Texas-severe drought. You have to admit, Cincinnati is pretty safe. But dont you wonder why all these are happening at generally the same time? We take comfort in the fact that there have been worse disasters, but none were accompinied by other record-breaking disasters.

@anna
same , I would be really scared. I would go to a frieds house.
