That waqs so cool. It was the most coolest when the cacoon turned clear and the butterfly came out. It was also cool how its wings expanded when it came out of the cacoon.

but cool at the same time what i thought was wierd was when the catapillar built the cacoon over its body it was like dressing itself!!!

i also think its so cool that the wings expanded right as soon as the butterfly came out of the cacoon!!! i wounder why that happens.? maybe there wasnt room for the wings to grow fully!
that was cool how it switches from caterpiler to a butterfly and can hang that long on a branch

Wow! Omg! That is so cool i watched that video atleast 50 times because it was so amazing to watch! I don't know how catapillars (however you spell it)Make the thing that is wrapped around them but i think it's awesome!! XD
honestly i think this was gross at the beginning but then it got cool when it came out of it cacoon.
It was realy cool but it was kinda weird that the butterfly had a tail type thing and when it was done transforming it was gone.

It was cool watching this. This actually reminded me off 2 years ago whenI saw he monarch come out of the cacoon. I liked watching the catipillar squrm around trying to make the cacoon

That was cool i like that but what makes me throwup is that one time we took a bunch of caterpillars and put them in a bowl then killed all the caterpillars in the bowl then filled the bowl with water, caterpillar guts and dead flat caterpillar bodies and called it caterpillar stew.

Once i had a butterfly cacoon in a jar and it grew into a butterfly!
But i didn't get to watch it change i was at school when it happened.

That was pretty cool. Im not a butterfly person but just looking at the butterfly hatching of that chrisalyis was cool. I wonder why the chrisalyis turned from green to clear?

I thought it looked a little wierd when it was making the cocoon, watching it build up in rings around itself. When it came out and spread its wings a little, now that was cool.
I thinks that is pretttty amazing how a small rectangle/box has something like a catipiller in it and after a while it comes out to be a beautiful butterfly.Like i said that pretty amazing.(:!
Whoops, I forgot to add this into what I said. Its a fun fact.
If you ate a Monarch Butterfly-which why would you anyways?- you would get sick because they have toxins in themselves. At least thats what the book I am reading, House of the Scorpions by Nancy Farmer, states.

it was weird in the begining when the video first started and like the catapillers skin was starting to move and like it started to crinkly up and then the catapiller like went into the next stage and started going from soft and flexable to hard and stiff.. it was awesome i liked it(:

@Elizabeth Me too! There was this blue and purple one that was around my house for a couple weeks that was really pretty too!
i remember when they had those catarpillars that you kept in a net thing and they would turn into butterflies in the net, so you could watch.
when it is still a catapillar it goes through two stages egg and larva.Once they are a butterfly the go through a stage called pupa.It takes 30-40 days for it to complete its life cycle.when it is warmer in the summer they have better chances of coming out of their cacoons faster.LYNDSEY ROBERTO
