Now that we have been in class for about 2 weeks I wanted to get your input.
I know we have had some different schedules and shorter classes, but with the time we have had together, what do you think about our science class so far?
Also, how do you feel about this blog site. I know many of you have said you have not blogged before and I would like to know if you like it or not? How do you think we could use this in the most beneficial way? What would you think are exciting activities we could run through our blog?

I think that science seems fun. It is similar to last year in the way of our books and the SEPUP. I like that because I don't like having to get used to something different every year. The activities we've been doing seem neat.
For the blogging, I definitely like it. It's not what I thought it would be, but it seems easy but we can learn all the same. I like to see what my classmates have to say about the same topics. I can't think of any other ways to use it differently, right now already seems great to me.
Im liking the shorter classes. From what I can tell I think that we won't be doing as many labs that involve chemicals as much. I can tell that from the subjects. Im liking it so far, though. Science has always been my favorite subject.
I am very comfortable with this blogging site. I don't blog, but I am on the internet alot. Not on Facebook, and those sites. I think that this is an easy way to discuss things, because we can go back and look at them too. Not sure about the activities, though.
I am liking science so far and it seems fun. The blogging is OK but kind of confusing sometimes. It is interesting to see what other are thinking about and it makes it easy to discuss topics. I do not know of any exciting activties we can run through our blog yet.
So far science is pretty fun. It also seems like it will be challenging which is a plus. The blog so far has been fine but I feel like it will be hard to remember to blog every week. But over all I like blogging. A beneficial way of using a blog could be to discuss lessons that had been done in class. An exiting thing you could do on the blog is post up a home activity blog and have people comment on the post who did the activity at home.
So far i think you have a good class and i will have a good time learning. I cant wait for new things.
Science is fun so far an dI think it will continue to be for the rest of the year. The blogging we do is new to me but I think that I'm getting used to it and so far it is neat. I don't really have any ideas of fun things we can run through our blog yet.

I think science is fun and we are going to learn a lot this year. I think science is different and similar to sixth grade science. I like the blogging, I think it's really cool and fun to see what your classmates think about science. The blogging for me has been good because i can share what i have to say and then i can comment on my friends and classmates post. Its interesting to see what other people have to say.

So far this year i think science is fun. I like the bloggling site, but it can be confusing. I dont know what exicting things we could do on the blog.
I like Science alot. It is my favorite subject and it is fun. I can not wait to learn more and more throught out the year.
When I first heard about blogging I was very excited because i have always wanted to blog. It is very fun and i hope we get more into it every week.

I think science is fun so far i love the blog it is really a good way to get involved and we are used to sepup and thats what we are using.I really do like the blog tho it is kinda confusing because sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt but other than that it its really fun.A really good way to use the blog is we can always use it to tell use about homework and how classwork is.

I agree blogging is really what makes it fun so far.
I think sience this year so far seems like it would be so much fun just because we are 1 more year older and i think this year in science we can do ore than we did last year. For blogging i think this is a great thing because it lets the students be independent doing the blogging. i love commenting to other peoples posts. i cant really think of any activities we can do right now i think everythings fine for now:)

so far i think science is going to be fun this year. In some ways its diffrent and the same from last year. I like bloging because you get to interact with others and you find out what they like and what they think.

I think science this year will be better than last year because were doing different things than we did last year so it is a whole new expirence. I don't know what to think about the blog i havn't really dicided if i like it or not i think i do but im not sure.

This year so far is good. Its also alot differnt then last year. I enjoy science so far I really like when we have short classes. In science i like when we went to the LGI with the other class. So far everything is fun. Agree with Elizabeth
I Love Science, It's really fun. I think it is the best Core class I have. The onlyy thing I don't like is the Moon Observations, so far.
I also like the blog site it lets us tell other students about how we feel, or what we think. Maybe we could vote on something? Just Blogging will be hard to remember to do though.(:

I agree I do like shorter classes, but I like blogging to...Ive never done it before but yea I think its fun when we do it in science class. I like when Mrs. Hoffeman asks us are opinion on questions and subjects like hurricane Katrina.
@emily, Oh yea i dont like the moon thing either, I liked the video and other things but i dont like that we have to remember to record the moons shape...
I think we will learn some interesting things. I liked the video we watched about if we didn't have a moon. Blogging is something new that we have not done at all at school so I don't really know how it will go but I think it's been pretty good so far.

I think science has been cool and fun so far. I like blooging because it gives students the ability to talk about science but we don't have to do it in class. I can't think of others ways to use this blog.
I think it is really neat that we get to express our opinions online. I wish the classes were a little longer because I really don't like to be rushed when I am working on something. It would be neat to put a lesson on the blogging so we could check it at home and work on it if we needed to.
Science sometimes is fun but blog is sort of pointless.

I agree with David also. Blogging is easy and you can see what others are thinking/saying about science and other topics! It is quite interesting.
@Sara I agree with you on two things, that I like the shorter classes (I hated block) and that I don't like the moon paper.
I like 7th grade. Science class is fun.Im excited about learning about the solar system! Blogging is okay. I took a while to set up but overall its fun talking to people over the internet about subjects. I like the activities we do on the blog right now.

I agree with that. I would rather have a class discussion than this. You can get more invovled as you said, but you don't have to read lots of text. Its just much easier with a class discussion. Then again you cannot record it unless you do it yourself. Both have pros and cons!

I like everything about science as of now! The schedules are a little weird right now, but hopefully it wont be like this all year. :) This Blogspot Site is cool i like it because everyday you can get on here and look at what is going on at school, what our teachers are thinking about. I have NEVER blogged before so its new to me, but im catching on. I think this is going to help my grade because if you follow the steps and do everything you are requried to do it could be easy. I am going to admit it does get very confusing at times.

2 weeks in the year I think that science class is a little fun so far. I'm guessing it's going to be a lot different from last year but thats what makes me excited about it is to learn more.
I feel new to the blogspot because I have never done this before and I'm still tring to figure it out. So far I'm liking it since it's new I think it's fun repling to the posts that Mrs. Hofman's putting up. We could use it for homework and projects.

i think it seems fun because we get to be social in school by blogging and its a way to particapate in conversations on the school.

I have read these many posts and am glad to see that many of you are excited about science this year. We cover many fascinating topics and I hope you are all able to find something about each of them that you enjoy.
As for the blogging, many of you seem to enjoy this, however, I know there are some of us that do not. Keep in mind this is something new we are trying this year as a district. We are not going to be having class stricly via the blog. This is a tool that we are implementing so that students may interact with one another via technology. We will not use this to replace your voice or pen and paper materials. This is just simply another avenue we will use within our classroom to delve deeper into our curriculum.
You also will not need to remember to blog. This is not something you have to do at home. This blog site will be a tool we use within the classroom and I will give you the time to do this. You don't ever have to remember on your own.
This is something new and change can sometimes be difficult. Be patient and don't be overwhelmed. Enjoy the different posts I leave and continue creating great discusions amongst one another!

so far i like science class but i will like it alot more once we get to the labs. i havent ever blogged before but so far im liking blogging so far. i think you could put science games on here.
Science is really fun. I like science evey though it is hard. It can be tricky and it might be hard to stay up with it. The bloging is hard also but i will try my hardest and do what i can to get my good grades.

I think earth science is the mostt fun science ive had ever i think the setup for the lab notebook.I am looking forward to what we will learn about this year.
