Storm Chasers

What did you think about the storm chasers videos that we watched last week?  Would you like to be a storm chaser?  Do you think it would be an exciting career?  Where would you think you would need to live in order to be a storm chaser?

I thought the videos were ok. I thought that watching the tornados was really cool but it didn't give you a lot of facts about tornados & how they're formed and stuff like that.
I wouldn't want to be a storm chaser. It's to risky for me, I don't know if I would feel comfortable being that close to one... I wouldn't want to be suck up by it!!!
& You would probably have to live near Texas, in Texas and Oklahoma.

i didn't think the videos were very helpful because there wasnt much to note. I would not like to be a storm chaser, i get scared if when the sirens go off. it could be a exicting career if you were interested in that knd of stuff. I would think that if you wanted to be a storm chaser you would need to live in Texas or Kansas, because that was where the people in the video said they were.

I loved the videos! I really liked the second one we watched on Friday! I would probably like to do the storm chaser for probably a day of two. I think it would be an exciting career for people that love to see things whirl around them! I would probably have to go to some science school and get degrees!

I thought the 2nd video was way better than the first one ! They informed me on how harmful tornadoes can really be. It also showed me more on how they form.

I personally would not like to be a storm chaser in fear that i would get stuck in the tornadoe and die or get strucj by lighting from a severe storm. i think it would be a very exciting career because finding out which way is the right wway to go to find the store also because all of the storms you will see.

You would probably live near Texas and places around there.

@ Mackenzie young
i also said they would need to live near Texas because all of the hot weather down there coould end up mixing with cold front and create a tornadoe which could happen a lot.

I thought these videos are REALLY cool, exciting, and inpiring. I think I would like to be storm chaser, but only for a little bit because I would most likely fear for my life. Even though it would be exciting and quite the adrenaline rush, I think I may become a little too scared to do this as a job, for the rest of my life. I think I'd have to live near Kansas and Texas, because I hear a lot about tornadoes to our south, but not in the north. In fact I really want to see Tornado Alley, at the meuseum!!

@ Mackenzie
REALLY? You thought theyy were only okay? It gave facts here and there, and plus if you want facts you can look it up, but the videos were exciting!!

I thought the videos were cool, the second was definitely better than the first, at leat I thought that it was. I personally would not want to be a storm chaser. It seems to dangerous to me, the giant tornadoes wold scare me to the core. I would be sitting in the car saying, "Oh,no you guys can take this one. I'll just wait in the car." I really don't know where I would want to live, considering we would be moving a lot to chase the storm. It would be an exciting carrer...for the people that actually like it that is.

@Courtney
I agree totally. I would be constantly fearing for my life, yes it would be a constant adrrenaline rush, but I would rather find a different way to get an adrenaline rush. That is way out of my league! I also thought the videos were VERY informational. They gave me a good inside story on what being a storm chaser would be like.

I really liked the storm chasers videos. I would love to be a storm chaser it would be very exciting because you never know what kind of storm you will be chasing around. I think it was kind of a bizzare thing they tried to do where they tried to get inside a twister just to capture a picture of what it looks like. I think you would need to live somewhere, where it is hot and cold very often.

I think the video was very interesting and cool. I liked learning about the tornados and watching them. I think they are cool, but i would never become a storm chaser. I am terrified of tornados. I think it would be cool but scary. Like everyday when you went to storm chase there would be a chance you would die. I think you would need to live in somewhere like texas because in the video thats where they were or somewhere where the hot weather anc old weather would be going oppisite ways because thats how tornados form.

The videos helped me learn alot of new things. It was cool to learn about there stuff and the people and the twisters. I would hate being a storm chaser!!! If i was a storm chaser its proble cause i was paid A LOT of money. I like to just watch them do it for me to learn.

The storm chasers job seems really cool, but scary. I wonder if they actually have fun.? Or if they do it for a thrill. They would actually help us to see the daners of tornadoes and that it isnt a joke, also it could let us know when a disaster is coming.

I think the video was interesting. I didn't like it though because it was kinda boring.

i thought the videos were cool. but i would not want to be a storm chaser because it could be really dangerous. it could be a exiting career. you would need a lot of technology, money and strong cars to be able to survive.

Bader, Lucas said...

I agree with mauricio,
because the videos where cool because of the nature of the earth and the weather.

Calderon, Heidi said...

I think that they are like very risky at doing that.
Yes, I would want to be a storm chaser because i think it it kinda fun to learn about how big and heavy tornadoes are.
Yes, I do think it would be an exciting career, very challenging but fun.
I think I would probably want to be in Texas, because that is where mostly their are strong tonadoes at.

I thought it was quite entertaining, certainly a dangerous job. I certainly would NOT want to be a storm chaser, way too stress inducing and fast paced. It would not be exciting, I feel it would be worrying. Also to be a storm chaser you would have to live where tornados occur, mostly the USA 'Tornado Alley'.

I really liked the videos. The second one was way better. The first one needed more facts or something. I think being a storm chaser would definitely be an exciting career but I would never be able to do it. It would be cool to be up so close next to all the action but...talk about risky! To be a storm chaser I would need to live...hm. I know lots of the tornados were in Texas, so probably somewhere in that area. But I would move around a lot since you never know where a tornado is going to be and tornados move, too.

Calderon, Heidi said...

@ Mackenzie
Yeah the videos were okay. they werent the best videos on tornados, that is true they didnt really give us alot of information on the tornados. the guys were mostly just talking to eachother about how "beautiful they are and how big that they were it kinda got annoying after a while."

I liked the video we watched last week. It was really cool. I really would not like to be a storm chaser. I wouldn't like to risk my life for a job like that. Although it would be scary, it would be much more exciting than a office job or smoething like that. It would get the adrenaline pumping. You would need to like in Tornado Alley, or near Texas where many tornados occur.
