Update on Japan

This article talks about the radioactive water spills which have occurred in nuclear plants in Japan.  Read the information and leave your thoughts.  Imagine surviving such a deadly earthquake and tsunami and now face the risk of being exposed to deadly radiation.  What would you do?

I saw something like this on the news! Thats horrible, poor japan, this really stinks for them, I dont know what I would do, I would try to press on other countries's government to help at least a few of the survivors and allow some people to go there for relief from radiation, at least for a little bit

I heard about it! That is so bad! I really feel bad for them! What i would do is, well i don't really know what i would do. I would probably just pray that everything goes away and i woul dtry to help them as best as i can!!

That would be so scary. It ould be a challenge to face a deadly earthquake, a giant tsunami, and now facing the fear of deadly radition spreading through the air. What about the kids? Will they leave? What if people cant' leave? Do you think some people are stuck in their homes. Do you think they sit in fear all day? Or do they live a normal life thinking if something happens it happens.

I feel really bad for Japan because they have been through an earthquake, a sunsmi, and now radioactive water is spilling on Japan.Crews also detected plutonium is a key ingredient in nuclear weapons, in the soil outside the complex officials insisted Monday the findings that this is no threat to public health.

Wow, I have no idea what I would do! That would be so devastating I would probalby be in shock. To go through a tsunami, earthquake and now face those high risks of being exposed to radiation, this would terrify me. I was reading the article and I read that they found traces of plutonium, that is used in nuclear bombs. Hearing that I would be apsolutely horrifyied. I wouldn't know what to do, considering I would have probably lost a lot of my belongings. I will say again...WOW. I feel bad for Japan.

@Kaylee
Those are really good questions. I wonder if they do live normal lives wondering what will happen, but shadowing it with a warm smile on their face. That would be hard to pull off though, considering everything they have been through.

@ Anna
You are brave to even THINK about something as scary as that, and just imagine how strong all the poeple in japan are

This is so horrible like this is one of the worst things that could ever happen in Japans history. All if this is like a cause and effect thing. Havng the earthquake cause a tsunami to create and the radiation leaked out of the power plants because of the earthquakes shaking it. i have no clue what I would do if i were in Japan, it would be to much to handle. Wait! i would tell the people using the money from peoples taxes to drill to the earths mantle to use the tax money to help people in Japan get away from the radiation.

If I went through this I would be in terrior. It is awful what they have to go through and what little people can do to help. They must be scared to death having gone through what they have lost. Some people have seen there houses carried away. It is just sad.

I heard about it! OMG! i woiuldnt know what to actually dfo with this i would be so scared. i would probably pray and have that in mind that in Japan not everyone is surviving what happened down their so either way you might not survive.

Dupont, Noah said...

Oh my gosh, they say that the Plutonium is not a hazard. How dumb do they think everyone is? OF COURSE ITS A HAZARD! THEY EVEN EXPLAINED IT! Anyways I would of course do my best to survive, avoiding everything hazardous. It must be scary to be in Japan right now. The only upside to this is that whoever survives has a cool story to tell. Not that that even comes close to makeing up for all the deaths and stuff

I wish you guys well Japan!

this is terrible that japan has to go thruw all this even the little kids every body has to get checked to see if they have radioncion on them i seen a picture of them getting their haircut beacuase they had radiation on them. there has even been radiation in the us i was waching the news at 6:00 tis morning and they said that they found some radiation on a roof of a building in Ohio so i guess it has reached the us so that isnt good i hope that they find a way to stop the radiation from leaking and then clean up all the radiotion from the sea and the dirt because if this dont clear up they might not have farms no more because if the radiation is by farms then it is harmful to people so now the farmers are probable having troubles with sellying their food so in all this radiation leak is ad for every one in japan this is why i want the people in japan just to go back to their normal life thats probable what they all just want to do.

cirkovic, daniel said...

Ok there is an good and bad side to this story.

Good Side: The radiation is not strong enough to be a health threat. Also Pluotnium is in the raditaion and that doesn't mix with elements so it can't spread as easily.

Bad Side: There still is radiation and could become a health risk. It is leaking into soil and some water. THis may last for years.
