On Friday, we watched a number of videos describing Jay Z's work in his project Water for Life. What did you learn when watching those videos? How do you feel about this project? What did you think about the video?

We loved the project!! We learned how lucky we are to have people that care and to have basic needs. The video was very inspiring to us and it made us want to help in some positive way! QUESTION!

The video made me feel really really bad. They have very little clean water and they work extremely hard to get just that much.I especially felt bad when i whatched that video because i waste a lot of water everday. I take a 25 minute shower usually and will pour me a glass a water i usually dont even drink.....:(

We loved this project, its amazing and courtious of a CELEBERITY to take the responsibility, along side of other scientists to help people who dont have acess to clean water. This is a need and should be a common right for everyone to have clean water! They are brave people!!!

We agree,we love this project too! But it is sooo sad and we both feel guilty, afterward we both got thirsty and we are now too!! And we both cant imagine the pain and suffer a small child to a old woman or man has to go through to live, its sad!!!!

Im exited to start the water cycle. I think water is very powerful. I learned that i shouldnt waste water its every vaulable and we are lucky to have it.
I learned how bad other people have it. I learned that clean water is a luxury in idea of some places. I think this project was a great idea because getting someone famous to promote the idea of donating money to provide clean water and just raising awareness. I thought the video was a nice way to show people what people go everyday.
i learned alot of stuff about that prodject hes doing! like we have it GOOOOOOD i mean good. because we have water sourses well most of us do, some take it for advantidge. but water is valuable, its running out, we need to save it. but yea the movie inspired me alot to drink more water and stuff like that but not wast it because alot of people dont have the recourses we have.
@anna I cant even imagine what they went through its interesting and sad that they have to drink from dirty water and the basketball. That was gross thats really sad that they still have to use it anyways.
I didn't even think about that stuff. I mean I knew that some people might have gross water and maybe like small homes, I even knew that people had to go get water but I mean watching the video, I had no idea that the water was sooo gross!

I agree it should be a common right and I can't believe people have to go trhough this. Can you see yourself having to go collect water after school because clean water isn't available.

i agree with you we should donate things that we dont need half the time to the people that would use it. or even rise money to people in these situations cuase the things like save water recycle, un plug electric things can make a real diffrence and it couls make our water cycle rise
@kaylee when we saw the basketball in the dirty contaminated water, we felt so sad and we felt sick! When they just take the basketball out of the water and wipe it with a towl, it can still have germs on the basketball and they could get very sick!. WE JUST FEEL BAD AND WE ARE SO LUCKY!
I learned that people have alot less than us and that kids my age work so much harder just to get something as simple as water. That i get everydday without having to really do anything. I think its a really good project, it will make people be grateful for the things they have, and inform people about lifestyles in other countries.The video was really cool.
what did Jay Z do to help them there? it would make me feel worse if all he did for them was make a video.
How little people have and how much we have.I love this project i think it showed many people how srry we should feel for others who dont haveb as much as wwe do.I thought the video was very inspiring telling us to do the right thing.
I liked whatching the vidoe diary. It was very interesting to see what other people have to go through to get somewhat clean water. It made me feel so spoiled to be able to go to my fridge and get clean water as much as I want. I wish I could help those people out but I can't
I loved it! It's sick that people have to live like that. It makes me feel greatful for my stuff and I also feel bad for the people out there. It's sad that they have to take showers outside. I liked the video too. I think Jay- Z is really nice to give to other countries like that. (:

I learn that some peple have more stuf than then other's. this make me fell that jayz is doing the right thing.

i feel sorry for those people who dont have a good supply of water. it is really nice how he would travel to these different countries and help people in need.

What I learned from them vidoes is that not every one has clean waters and tiolets. I feel good that jay zs is diong this.

I think it is really sad how people have to go through that much just to get clean water and everyday we take advantage of that.
The videos were really sad and I was happy that Jay Z was halping.
i think that is said that one purson has to go far away just to get water in a big cantanor. it is all so said that them people do not have a lot to play on at reces.it is sad to see people how live like that.

I learned that millions of kids die a year due to unclean water. I also learned that each family barely gets any clean water a day, only like 20 mL or something?! I felt really bad and I think the project is a good idea. It was gross when the guys were playing basketball, and their ball landed in like the sewage and they kept playing!

Yeah I would hate to have to go up and down that steep hillside to get clean water and to shower outside!
I learned that other countries are starving and dieing from having polluted water and the sanitation.
I feel like just going there and helping out all of the people just how Jay Z has been working out and making a clean water cycle and it is not only to clean the water it also lets the kids have fun by playing and at the same time making there water fresh and clean for them to drink so that they wont get sick anymore.
I like that the video was very sad like there were almost tears coming to my eyes when i heard that almost 2 million kids die each year from not having sanitary things and have unsafe water for them to drink. And that what little things people from the United States do in other countries like Jay Z it makes a very big difference to people in other countries and it makes them very happy to know that other people hear about there situations and that they volunteer to go and help them so that they can have clean fresh water and other things like that. So that less children will die from unhealthy things that they is in the world.
I learned that water is a natural resource need for everyone and some people barely have any or hard conditions getting to water. Next time I think a drink of water I will think how lucky I am ti have it. This project is a great idea and Jay Z has a good heart. The video was a wake-up call for me. Like I said before we are lucky to have water.
I think the projectis very helpful to those who dont have fresh water.The vidoes were very sad how those people dont have fresh clean water.If i could i would help those people get fresh and clean water to bath and drink from.
I feel that the project is awesome. Helping people get the simplest of necessities when they can't get it without going through a lot of trouble, its just awesome. I personally don't like rap or anything that has to do with rap, but this makes me have respect for him. Its good to see that some people that are famous and stuff aren't full of themselves and don't care.

I learned watching the video that everyone isint as fortunate as us. i thought it was terrbile how people had to walk for miles just to get fresh water. and going to school passing a nasty sewer that everyone throws stuff in. i think its so sad. im glad Jay Z is doing water for life. Im pretty sure it impacted Jay Z to be there watching this all happen.
