This week we saw an abundance of rain. Lots of Easter egg hunts were done inside instead of outside this year! I know my boys had to do 3 out of the 4 egg hunts this year inside. We also spent our spring break trying to find inside activities to do, since my plans to go to the zoo and trips to the park had to be cancelled. We have had more rain this April than any April in history. So far we have already had over 10 inches of rain and it is supposed to rain almost every day this week. How has the rain effected your plans? Did you have to miss sports games? Did you have to move all of your spring break activities indoors? The lengthy rain is due to a what is know as a stationary front. This is an edge of an air mass that is not moving. Therefore, we are getting trains of rain all along the Ohio valley. The rain did not effect me because i was in Florida. On the weather map there wasn't any thing indicating rain in florida.
The rain did not effect me AT ALL ! I was gone all spring break, i was in florida and alabama (: im so glad i was gone because it was so hot outside and i got to go to the beach and pool eveeryday because it didnt rain once down there (:

I know !! But after i left my dad stayed down in florida and sayed it started to pour down raining. Every day i was there, there wasnt any rain.

The rain has affected my sport activites. I have not missed any sports games yet, but i think i will tommorow. I did not have to move any of my activites from outdoors to indoors. i have been affected by not being able to go outside. Other students probley had their activites postponed due to poor weather.
The rain hasn't affected my plans because i wasn't going anywhere. I had to miss a baseball game and i had to move my egg hunt inside.
This didn't really happen because of rain , but because of bad weather. Since there were tornado warnings my whole family had to wake up and go downstairs in to the basement. We had to sit down there for like an hour! Also, we had to go to indoor batting cages instead of outside. Instead of finding Easter Eggs with candy in them, my cousin Julie, put numbers in the easter eggs and which ever number you got, you got the bag with that number on it. The bag had easter eggs with candy in them in it. We did it so the candy wouldn't get wet or whatever. The news was on while I was eating breakfast this morning and it said yesterday was the redord for the wettest day.
The rain did affect me. We were also supposed to go to the zoo for a day of fun, but that had to be cancelled. All my sports games were still on, but when it came to practice it was all cancelled!

The didn't effect me because I was in Florida, but on the cruise, while we were ported in Jamaica it rained a little bit but it quickly stopped so it didnt effect our plans to go horse riding. On the weather map there wasn't anything about rain.
I also hate that we have a stationary front, why did we have to have one on OUR spring break???

i know that you were in florida and that the radars say their was no rain. Didnt it rain atleast once because down in florida it rains at least once a week.
I hate rain. It ruined many of ur family plans. We always go to the park but it is flooded and my easter was done inside. The kids got mud all over the place and we couldnt go outside to do the fire at night. On wensday I was freaking out because in my room rain pounds on my window. But over all i had a good spring break.
@ Sam Yeah we were driving to batting cages and cars kept driving through these huge puddles and seriously splashing our car with water. It was actually pretty funny, but my mom was so worried because we saw spots that were flooded. She made us take a different route home

Well I was going to go to the butterfly show, but i didnt due to the very heavy rain. But thursday was the best day out the whole week, so i went to the butterfly show then. I also went to Rookwood to go shopping and then it started to rain, so i had to leave and go home. But really I read, and watched tv.

Well even though it rained most of spring break, me and my family were outside a lot. We played basketball and soccer.
The only way rain really effected my spring break was when it cancelled my soccer practice on Tuesday.
But the rain did flood my uncle shop.
RAIN . . . GO AWAY! Rain did affect most of my plans, but for easter day, it was pretty nice out. Well i did get pushed in mud but it was nice.
on saterday it rained on my aunts easter party and we were gonna do our egg hunt outside, but it rained so me and my cousin had to get all the eggs from outside and put them in the smallest room ever, i dont even think it was a room! i tripped over a table and fell down the steps. then my lil cousin started laughing at me and slipped on some water from outside and fell down with me. SEE WHAT RAIN CAN DO?! But on the radar, it seems for the most part its a light rain, but theres some storms and such but its pretty light, and damp.

The rain effected me because i stayed in wonderful cincinnati over spring break(: I had to stay inside so i mostly whatched movies,texted friends and hung out with friends, went shopping and got my haircut(: So i had to stay inside all week but it wasnt so bad.
The rain map also indicated rain. We are in the middle of sevre thinderstorms right now.
Well we planed on going to the zoo, and to do a HUGE family easter egg hunt, and we also couldnt go hiking like we wanted, and we had to do indoor rockclimbing!! And I didnt know this is the most rain in April history!

nope, there wasnt even clouds in the sky. One day we were suppose to have a little rain but it turned out it was the nicest day i was there.

Yea I guess that would be pretty funny and I do remember watching a video where if the water is deep enough that the car will stop working so it was pretty smart of your mom.

The weather did not really effect my spring break because i was inside the whole time.it did effect me wednesday morning at 2 because we had a tornado warning in iniana and saturday morning at 3 we had another tornado warning and the rain was comi,ming into the basement both nights.
Rain affected me alittle in tennesse when i was playing miature golf and rained out my whole in one but besides that my second game was fine. but there was rain over the break in tennesse.

The rain effected our easter egg hunt! Yes, it did effect our sports. We had to move most of our plans indoor, not all but most.
By looking at the map i see more rain and thunder storms, i also see the High fronts and Low fronts living and coming from the West. We still had a fun spring break just the amazing abunadnce of rain effected everyones plans.
It has been raining for what it seems like the whole spring break and into this week but it didnt effect my plans. The only thing i would have done is ride my bike but other than that i got to sleep in and watch tv alot. My sister had a basketball in kentucky but it didnt effect that because it is indoors. It might have effected others if they had outdoor sports.

The rain effects my plans because i was suppose to have soccer but couldn't do to weather. One soccer game and 1 practice. yes and one activite was at my grandmas for an easter egg hunt, had to be done inside with like 12 kids in avery cramp room.
i couldn`t have my easter picnic outside with my family we had to have the pinic inside. i didn`t to miss any sports, mine are all in door. i did i have to move my avtivities all inside. The rain really messed up my plans my plans were just playing outside the whole time but i barely got to do that because it rained so much. I didn't know why it was raining so much but it was starting to get annoying it even flooded my basemnet, more than once.

the rain didnt really affect me because we did alot of inside activities. we went to coco key and we went to dave and busters and i went to the movies alot over break.
Well when i was driving up to chicago it was pouring down rain which like ddelayed our time of getting there. then when we were looking at the sights on somedays you couldnt see the tops of the buildings. Also, the mist like foged my glasses which was a total pain.

Nothing really effected me but if i had to say i would say the rain effected me becuase the Ohio river was flooding and my back yeard has a hill and at the bottom ofthe hill it is like a big pool.
The affected me by keeping me inside most of the break and my family and i couldnt go camping because of it so it kept me inside all spring break
the rain was awesome cuz i didn't have to go to church service for easter which hours that is a wasted two hours that i could do stuff. my little 1 year old cousin was effected hugely cuz her first egg hunt was cancelled and the she took her anger out on my x-box 360. it still works. but did not effect me at all cuz slept all day

Over Spring Break my family went to Put-In-Bay which is in northern Ohio. It was very rainy and cold there so we had to spend most of our trip inside. Also, my family had Easter at my house and since our yard was super muddy and wet we had to have the Easter Egg Hunt for my little cousins in our basement. This actually turned out good though because my older sister and I had a good time hiding the eggs.

The rain effected my spring break because I went to Chicago, while i was there, there was acouple thunderstorms. My family continued to walk around the busy city in the rain along with many other people who seemed unbothered by the downpoor. My family still had to deal with the rain while we walked around even though the vacation wasnt as fun as it could have been.....It also cancled my soccer game.

My family went down in our basement too! It really stunk because my dad gets up at 3:30 for work so he only got like three hours of sleep. Also, that was the night before we were leaving for our trip so we were all really tired.

The rain did not affect me because i went down to my golf course and took a handicap parking sign from the junkyard and moved it to the woods while in the rain and my hands were so dirty.
The rain screwed up my spring break. The rain flooded my basment and we had to spend hours ripping up carpet, mopping the floor, and moving furniture.

This front effected my plans so much! I usually go running in the morning/afternoon when I don't have Track practice, but with all the rain I couldn't! I spent most of my Spring Break inside! It was so annoying. I didn't go anywhere over break. I 'hate' (you know I dont mean hate hate :P) you that when somewhere! (Florida, Alabama, etc.) We never go anywhere. I still am mad that the rain has ruined my break so much.
The rain affected me a lot ths spring break. I couldn't do anything but stay inside. My tennis practice might be cancelled beacuse of wet courts today. We did have to move our Easter Egg hunt indoors too but it was just as fun. I really wish the rain would stop becuase all my tennis matches might be cancelled this week except for the indoor one I have.

The grandchildren did an egg hunt outside, but it wasn't much of one since I am the youngest grandchild. We did it at like 4:30 I believe? Somewhere around there. You are very lucky. It was raining all week. The lighting was huge. Down the street from my house a I got a really good look at a lighting strike. It was pretty bad.

Well my godfather and his two kids and my godmother went to go see my godmother bother and sister and they have a daughter that is my age so when i got done raining we went out and played in the mud and a big rain puddle but it was more of a small pool but it was really fun and messy.

You were outside a lot? I wanted to be but I kept waiting for the rain to stop. I was looking online at weather to see when it would. One night it said the rain would stop mid evening and then at mid evening I checked and it said late evening....then it never stopped.
I got freaked out though because I was reading with my lamp on, and it started flickering. I looked around and it went back to normal so I just continued reading and later my lamp completely went out for like 10 seconds. It totally freaked me out because I was not expecting the pitch darkness. It also didn't help that after that my door randomly opened but I found out it was my cat :P

Breanna- The rain didnt effect me because i was in fort benning georgia. There were tornadoe warnings but the weird thing is that there was no rain or storms. The temp. was 93 the whole time we were there. The weather didnt effect any of my plans.

I couldnt really do many thing becauase of the rain i had stayed inside most of spring break. I had no easter egg hunts outside all of them were inside. Getting to see family i havent seen in 2 years. Two of my baseball games and lots of practisess were cancelled too. very boring.

The rain didn't affect me at all because i was on a cruise that went to mexico and Honduras. I'm not sure if anything on a weather map was indicating rain because that map didn't show Mexico, or Honduras. There was a tiny sprinkle as we were boarding the ship, but it stopped as soon as we were ready to swim and have fun. Other than that we had no rain all week on the ship, or in the ports.
